Kurdish Message at Dicle University Opening: Unity and Peace

At the opening of Dicle University, TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş delivered an important message. He concluded his speech with a Kurdish couplet, calling for unity and peace.
Kurtulmuş emphasized that cultural differences should be seen as a means of integration. He stated, "The mother tongue is as sacred as mother's milk," highlighting the importance of language.
Kurtulmuş's speech was also shared on TBMM's official social media accounts, marking a historic moment as it was the first time TBMM made a Kurdish post.
The Kurdish speech received criticism from some quarters. İYİ Party MP Ayyüce Türkeş Taş argued that Kurtulmuş's actions were contrary to the Constitution.
Kurtulmuş's message not only called for social unity and solidarity but also highlighted the importance of cultural diversity. Continuing such events is crucial for social peace.
