Hurricane and storm disaster is affecting Turkey!

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued warnings for heavy rain and strong winds in Istanbul and Izmir. Flooding may occur, especially along the Aegean coast. Citizens are advised to be cautious.

In Istanbul, the rain that started in the morning has increased traffic congestion, reaching 90% on the Asian side. The rain is expected to affect the entire city as the day progresses.

In Izmir, flooding has occurred. Shopkeepers have placed sandbags in front of their stores to prevent water from entering. The historic Kemeraltı Bazaar was also affected by flooding.

There is also a risk of flooding in Fethiye and Köyceğiz in Muğla. Experts are warning residents in these areas to take precautions.
