Election results in Syria have been announced! Spokesperson for the High Election Committee, Nevvar Necme, shared the details at a press conference in the capital, Damascus.

A total of 119 members of parliament were determined. It was stated that the remaining 21 seats will be filled in elections to be held in Aleppo, Raqqa, Hasakah, and Sweida.

Among the elected members, there are 6 women and 2 Christian representatives. The 70 members to be appointed by President Ahmed Shara will be determined within this week.

The High Election Committee will meet tomorrow to discuss how elections will be conducted in Hasakah, Raqqa, and Sweida. This election process is seen as an important step for the reconstruction of Syria.
