What is the situation of the wind in fire areas? What do the weather forecasts show?

Turkey is battling major forest fires in Bursa, Karabük, Kahramanmaraş, and Uşak. Strong winds are complicating the fight against the fires. NTV Meteorology Editor Dilek Çalışkan shared the weather forecasts.

In Bursa, temperatures have reached 40-42 degrees, with wind speeds sometimes reaching 45-50 kilometers. However, the wind speed is expected to decrease after midnight, averaging 15 kilometers per hour.

In Karabük, the wind will change direction and become a hot wind, further drying the air. Temperatures are expected to drop to 34-35 degrees in the coming days.

There is a high fire risk due to strong winds in the Marmara and Aegean regions. The General Directorate of Forestry has warned citizens to be cautious.
