Fire Disaster in Bursa and Evacuations

Fire disaster in Bursa

A forest fire in Bursa has led to the evacuation of 1,300 people. As the fire approaches residential areas, authorities are working to control the situation.

A total of 1,765 people were evacuated to safe areas. Residents from Karahıdır, İğdir, and Avdancık neighborhoods were evacuated as a precaution. Although the impact of the fire has decreased with the wind easing, teams are still on alert.

Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that the energy of the fire has significantly decreased. There are 1,800 personnel on the ground fighting the fire, and the Ankara-Bursa highway has been reopened.

Aerial footage from Iğdir and Narlıdere villages shows the devastation caused by the fire. The once green pine forests now reflect nature's cry with their gray appearance.

Another fire in Bursa's Orhaneli district was brought under control after 10 hours of intervention. Authorities stated that there is no risk of the fire reigniting in that area.
