Recently, forest fires have affected various regions of Turkey. AFAD has made significant statements regarding these fires.

In provinces such as Sakarya, Bilecik, Eskişehir, Afyonkarahisar, and Karabük, 4,231 personnel and 45 aircraft are working to control the fires. A total of 2,619 citizens have been evacuated to safe areas due to the fires.

AFAD President and other officials are closely monitoring the situation by visiting the fire-affected areas. Damage assessment works are also ongoing in the affected regions.

Condolences were expressed for the forest workers and volunteers who lost their lives in the fires. We thank all the teams fighting against the fires.
