Effects of Climate Change and Global Warming

Climate change and global warming are causing temperatures to rise worldwide. This summer, temperatures in Turkey are expected to exceed seasonal norms.
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that temperatures will exceed 30 degrees during the Kurban Bayramı. Especially in coastal cities, temperatures are expected to reach 35 degrees.

In Istanbul, temperatures are expected to rise to 20 degrees. This indicates that the effects of summer are starting to be felt.
With the heatwaves, sea water temperatures will also rise. In the Mediterranean, sea water temperatures are expected to range between 22-26 degrees.

Meteorology experts recommend that citizens be cautious of sunstroke during this period of high summer temperatures.
