Global warming and climate change have become one of the most important issues of our time. Yusuf Günay, President of the Green Hydrogen Producers Association, made significant statements on this matter.

During the 'Green Energy Workshop' at Trakya University, Günay stated that if global warming exceeds 1.5 degrees, 1 billion people could become climate migrants. This situation will create a major problem worldwide.

Günay reminded that the use of fossil fuels increases greenhouse gas emissions, emphasizing the urgent need for measures to prevent this. Otherwise, by 2070, two-thirds of the world will become uninhabitable.

The recent increase in floods, fires, and natural disasters highlights the effects of climate change. Günay pointed out the importance of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, to which Turkey is also a party.

Stating that 80% of global energy consumption still comes from fossil fuels, Günay expressed the need to increase the use of renewable energy.
