Beekeepers in Erzincan are worried about the effects of cold weather. Significant losses in honey production are expected this year.

The prolonged winter and cold temperatures in April have hindered bees from gathering pollen. Rahmi Özendi, President of the Erzincan Beekeepers Association, stated that this situation negatively impacts honey production.

Insufficient feeding has led to bee deaths. Yürüşan Yeşil reported that 80 out of his 150 hives have perished.

This year, a loss in honey production is anticipated. Beekeepers are trying to survive the season with the remaining bees.

Weather conditions are not allowing bees to work effectively. The lack of pollen flow is threatening production.
