Elon Musk has established a new city in Texas: Starbase!

In a vote conducted in Cameron County, where SpaceX's launch site is located, the region's name was officially changed to "Starbase." In this vote, 212 people supported the new name while only 6 voted to keep the old one.

Musk celebrated the voting results, announcing that Starbase is now a real city. The city administration stated that this new community is an important step for humanity's future in space.

Cameron County Election Manager Remi Garza stated that after the voting results are approved by a judge, Starbase will officially be recorded as a Texas municipality.

This new city is located at the center of SpaceX's test flights and rocket production activities. Musk's initiative aims to provide more control over space projects.
