A new metro line is coming to Istanbul! A major change in transportation is on the way.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu conducted a test drive of the Halkalı-Istanbul Airport Line. This new line will significantly alleviate Istanbul's transportation issues.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that rail systems are the lifeblood of modern cities. New lines are revitalizing neighborhoods and strengthening the fabric of cities.

A total of 161.8 kilometers of rail system lines have been opened in Istanbul. With new projects, this length will reach 188.3 kilometers.

The Halkalı-Istanbul Airport Metro Line will be completed in 2026 and will consist of 7 stations. This line will further facilitate transportation in Istanbul.

Uraloğlu emphasized that Istanbul needs 1004 kilometers of metro lines. These projects aim to preserve Istanbul's historical and cultural heritage while carrying it into the future.
