Köroğlu Tunnel: Ankara-Izmir Travel Time Reduced to 3.5 Hours

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu noted that this tunnel is one of the critical points on the line between Ankara and Afyon. With the completion of the tunnel, travel times will be significantly reduced.
The travel time on the Ankara-Izmir high-speed train line will be reduced to 3.5 hours. This project will enable 11.5 million people to enjoy the comfort of high-speed trains.
Uraloğlu projected that with the completion of this line, they would transport approximately 13.3 million passengers and 90 million tons of cargo annually. This comfort in transportation will provide significant economic and social advantages.
