Fare increases for public transport in Izmir have been announced! New prices will be effective from September 1.

According to the municipality's announcement, the full fare has increased from 25 lira to 30 lira, and the student fare from 10 lira to 15 lira. The fare for teachers has also risen from 17.72 lira to 20 lira.

For passengers over 60 years old, the fare has increased from 20 lira to 25 lira, and the monthly student subscription fee has risen from 4.80 lira to 6.34 lira. These changes will have a significant impact on transportation.

Additionally, the 90-minute free transfer application in IZBAN has been removed. It was stated that the new system will be implemented once the technical infrastructure works by IZBAN are completed.

It was noted that the Izmirim Card will remain valid in IZBAN, but passengers will not benefit from the mentioned privileges. These changes mark the beginning of a new era in transportation.
