Recent Developments on Corruption Cases and Rental Disputes

Significant developments are occurring regarding corruption cases and rental disputes. Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced the effects of mandatory mediation in rental disputes.
Minister Tunç stated that there have been 383,502 applications in rental disputes, with 135,673 of them resolved through mutual agreement. This practice reduces the workload of courts while allowing citizens to find quick and peaceful solutions.
Tunç emphasized that the mediation practice became mandatory as of September 1, 2023, paving the way for citizens to resolve their issues quickly through a culture of reconciliation.
Thanks to mandatory mediation in rental disputes, 271,000 citizens across Turkey resolved their issues without going to court. This situation contributes to making the justice system more accessible.
Minister Tunç reiterated their commitment to strengthening the justice system and facilitating access to justice.
