A heat wave is showing its effects in Turkey!

The General Directorate of Meteorology has reported that African heat will affect Turkey, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees in many provinces. Especially in cities like Adana and Mersin, the perceived temperatures are causing significant disruptions to daily life.

In Mersin, the perceived temperature reached 43 degrees. This heat has led people to seek refuge in shaded areas. In Hatay, the temperature also reached 41 degrees, prompting some to swim in rivers to cool off.

In Izmir, the hot weather has negatively affected daily life. People prefer to spend time in parks and green areas. Experts recommend staying in closed areas during the hottest hours of the day.

In Aydın, temperatures have also reached 42 degrees. Those who have to be outside are choosing shaded areas to spend their time. Many are flocking to the beach to cool off from the heat.

Meteorology has announced that temperatures will continue to be above seasonal norms and that winds will blow strongly from the north. It is important for citizens to be cautious and take necessary precautions.
