In recent days, discussions regarding Öcalan have been escalating in AKP circles. A banner hung in Elazig shows that these discussions are spilling into the streets.

The banner displayed on an overpass along the Elazig-Malatya road read, "Which door is Öcalan the dog of!!" This has been interpreted as a reaction to claims that the government is re-establishing contact with Öcalan.

AKP Bingöl MP Feyzi Berdibek made notable comments regarding the discussions with Öcalan, emphasizing that it is not the 'Turkish Assembly' but the 'Grand National Assembly of Turkey.'

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's statements about Öcalan have also sparked debates. Bahçeli criticized the citizenship definition sharply.

AKP Diyarbakır Provincial Chairman Ömer İler stated during the holiday that, "Öcalan deserves recognition," which could further ignite internal party discussions.
