Emotional Connections with AI Are Rising Among Youth

Recent studies indicate that young people are increasingly interacting with artificial intelligence. Specifically, 72% of youth aged 13-17 have chatted with AI at least once.
According to research, one-third of young people share serious issues with their AI friends. Experts warn that this could have negative effects on mental health.

30% of the youth find AI systems entertaining, while 28% are drawn to this experience out of technological curiosity.
However, half of the youth do not trust AI. The younger age group (13-14 years) tends to trust these systems more than the older group.
Experts warn that AI chatbots can easily infiltrate children's lives and pose serious risks. The inability of children to understand that AI is not a human can blur the lines of reality.
