Exciting new developments in the CHP congress case!

The Ankara Regional Court of Appeals has deemed the lack of jurisdiction in the CHP congress case as legally valid, confirming that the case will be handled by the 26th Criminal Court of First Instance.

The court has appealed to the Supreme Court, and if approved by the Ministry of Justice, the file will be sent to the 5th Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court for resolution of jurisdictional disputes. The next hearing for the case regarding the cancellation of CHP's ordinary and extraordinary congresses has been set for September 15, 2025.

In the CHP congress case, it has been decided to send the file to the heavy criminal court. It will be evaluated whether the actions of the defendants fall under the crime of bribery.

The indictment requests prison sentences for 12 individuals, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, for violating election laws. The case is set to be heard on June 30.
