Jellyfish Alarm in England! Climate Change Impact

A jellyfish alarm has been issued for the beaches of England!

Marine biologist Frankie Hobro stated that giant jellyfish will be seen more frequently on the shores of England in the coming years. This is directly linked to climate change and rising sea temperatures.

Hobro advised citizens to bring a few packs of vinegar when going to the beach. He also firmly rejected the myth that urinating on a jellyfish sting helps.

Warming waters threaten marine ecosystems. Harmful algal blooms and pressure on certain marine species are expected.

The Marine Biological Society noted that as temperatures rise, species like jellyfish may spread over larger areas. This summer, images of giant jellyfish have started to be shared on social media from the northwestern coast of Wales.
