Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski is making intense efforts to acquire fighter jets.

In a press conference held in Kyiv, he stated that the Russian army continues its air attacks and that they are working to strengthen their air defense systems. He particularly pointed out the increasing danger of 'Shahed' type drones.

Zelenski emphasized that they are negotiating to acquire a total of 250 fighter jets, including F-16, Gripen, and Rafale, which is a critical step for Ukraine's future.

He noted that the agreement with Sweden would allow Ukraine to acquire a fleet of Gripen fighter jets, which is an important step to strengthen their air forces.

Additionally, he announced that the USA will provide training for pilots and technicians for the F-16 jets. This is a significant step to enhance Ukraine's defense capacity.

Zelenski also stated that they will increase domestic arms production and develop new missiles as part of their efforts to maintain independence.
