A storm warning has been issued for the Aegean Sea and Izmir!

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change announced that winds will increase from noon. Strong and short storms are expected across the general area of Izmir, except for the districts of Kiraz, Beydağ, and Ödemiş.

A storm is also expected at sea! Winds in the northern Aegean Sea are predicted to reach speeds of 50-75 km/h. The storm is expected to lose its intensity after the evening hours.

Meteorology has urged citizens to be careful and take precautions against potential adverse effects of the storm. Measures should be taken to mitigate possible damages.
