The European Union has extended its sanctions against Russia for another 6 months. Kaja Kallas announced the details of this decision.

The sanctions include additional restrictions on Russia's oil sales and banks. Kallas stated that these sanctions will limit Russia's war financing.

Under individual sanctions, the bank accounts of over 2,500 Russian individuals and entities have been frozen, and travel bans have been imposed.

The EU has implemented a total of 18 sanction packages against Russia. These packages cover the energy, trade, and finance sectors.

Kaja Kallas emphasized that the duration of the sanctions would end on September 15 and that this period has been extended. This decision aims to protect Ukraine's territorial integrity.
