Response from Ankara Governorship to CHP's March Request

The Ankara Governorship denied CHP's request for a march on April 23. This decision was made due to heavy traffic in the area and the need to protect historical sites.
In the statement from the governorship, it was noted that, "Due to the National Sovereignty and Children's Day, it is expected that the area around the 1st TBMM building will be visited intensively by the public,".

CHP leader Özgür Özel stated that the march cannot be prevented, inviting all Ankarans to gather in front of the First Assembly, saying, "April 23 cannot be banned!"
The governorship suggested alternative locations for such events, stating that they could be held in designated areas. Suggested locations include Anadolu Square and Anıtkabir.
This situation creates uncertainty about how CHP's events on April 23 will unfold. The public's reaction to this issue is eagerly awaited.
