CHP Deputy Demir Proposes Increasing KYK Scholarship

CHP Ankara Deputy Deniz Demir announced the need to increase the KYK scholarship.
Demir noted that the KYK scholarship, which was 110 dollars in 2016, has now dropped to 85 dollars. This situation negatively affects students' living standards.
The rising cost of living is also negatively impacting the enrollment rates of young people in universities. Demir stated that the KYK scholarship should be at least 6,000 TL by 2026.
This amount will compensate for inflation losses and will be the first step towards providing young people with a dignified living space. The future of our youth depends on real welfare increases.
KYK scholarships should be raised to meet students' educational and housing needs. A supportive state policy is now essential.
