Environmental monitoring activities are ongoing at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant construction site. General Manager Sergey Butckikh emphasized the eco-friendliness of nuclear energy.

Nuclear plants have the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Akkuyu NGS will have the capacity to meet 10% of Turkey's electricity demand.

Butckikh stated that construction waste is being recycled and does not harm the environment. He also expressed compliance with environmental protection legislation.
