Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel has given a strong response to MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli. In his speech at the first group meeting of the new legislative year, Özel emphasized the issues facing the country and CHP's struggle against them.

Özgür Özel stated that after a 70-day break, they are back in the Parliament, saying, "We are fighting against the crises of democracy, justice, and the economic crisis." He also mentioned that they listened to the people's problems during their summer work across 81 provinces.

Responding to Bahçeli's criticisms, Özel said, "While we are increasing our struggle, they are increasing their plots," labeling Bahçeli's statements as lies and misleading.

Özel emphasized, "We stood against the coup plotters on the night of July 15. Now we stand against those who do not respect the will of the people," highlighting CHP's commitment to democracy.

In conclusion, Özel stated, "We respect the will of the people. What Bahçeli says are merely lies," criticizing MHP's policies.
