Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's master's degree has been cancelled!

Istanbul University cancelled Imamoğlu's master's degree due to not meeting the undergraduate graduation requirements. This decision was made during the Social Sciences Institute Board meeting on July 24.

Imamoğlu was studying in the Human Resources Management Master's Program. However, following allegations of his undergraduate diploma being fake, this development occurred.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office received reports that Imamoğlu's undergraduate diploma was fake and initiated an investigation for forgery of official documents. Imamoğlu gave his statement on March 5.

Imamoğlu emphasized the rule of law during this process, stating that the accusations against him were unlawful. He also stressed the importance of respecting democratic will.
