Recently, forest fires across Turkey have ended, but misinformation on social media continues to draw attention.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated through social media that while the fires have ended, the lies continue unabated.

Yumaklı said, 'We are trying to extinguish not the flames, but the lies,' and announced that the General Directorate of Forests has prepared a 19-question booklet.

He emphasized that every inch of the burned areas will be green again and that they will continue to explain the truths during this process.

Minister Yumaklı called on the public to be cautious, stating that they will continuously provide information to counter the lies spreading on social media.
