The HSK Election Process Begins! Discussions Between CHP and AKP

The HSK election process has begun! The Turkish Grand National Assembly has initiated the election process for members of the Judges and Prosecutors Council whose terms are about to expire.
A mixed commission consisting of members from AK Party, MHP, CHP, and DEM Party will evaluate the candidates' applications. A report will be submitted on April 25, and new members will be elected on May 6.

CHP Aydın MP Bülent Tezcan stated that holding an election for only 5 members is unconstitutional. This situation contradicts Article 159 of the Constitution.
AK Party Istanbul MP Şengül Karslı emphasized that the elections for vacant memberships begin the individual terms of the new members. These discussions are critical for the future of HSK.
Claims that a quota will be allocated to the DEM Party for the HSK elections have sparked new debates in the political arena. This raises questions about the background of agreements made with CHP and IYI Party.
