The Foça district of Izmir has experienced one of the heaviest rains in recent years, leading to severe flooding.

Mayor Saniye Bora Fıçı stated, "Foça is experiencing an extraordinary situation. We are facing a serious flood. I invite everyone to support us."

President's Advisor İsmail Cesur mocked the situation by saying, "Call the municipality, sister," which sparked outrage on social media.

Local residents are mobilizing to prevent water from entering their homes. AFAD and municipal teams are working hard to drain the water.

Recep Yıldız, a resident of Foça, said, "I have lived here for 32 years. I have never seen such a flood. Everything is underwater."

The flood disaster has brought life in Foça to a standstill. Teams continue their efforts to drain the water.
