Military Training Cooperation Between Turkey and Syria Begins

A military training process has begun between Turkey and Syria following the signed agreement.
The ‘Joint Training and Consultancy Memorandum of Understanding’ signed on August 13, 2025, aims to train the Syrian army in modern weapon systems and contemporary warfare techniques. In this context, 50 Syrian officer candidates will receive training in Turkey.
The Ministry of National Defense continues to support the training of the Syrian army. These trainings aim to enhance Syria's defense capacity.
Training activities will be conducted in various military schools in Turkey. This process will contribute to the institutionalization of the Syrian army.
Ankara is taking significant steps for the restructuring of the Syrian army. This cooperation will contribute to ensuring peace and security in the region.
