Hurricane and Storm Disasters: Weather Conditions in Turkey

Recently, the weather in Turkey has been quite turbulent. Hurricanes and storm disasters have affected many regions.
Temperatures have dropped below zero, leading to icing in many areas. For instance, in Istanbul, temperatures fell to -3 degrees, causing car windows to freeze. This situation created challenges for drivers.

In Bitlis, snow depth reached 60 cm, causing disruptions in transportation. Meteorology officials stated that the total snowfall this year has reached 2 meters and 80 cm.

In Sivas, the surface of the Kızılırmak River was completely frozen. With temperatures dropping to -23 degrees, residents are taking precautions against the cold weather conditions.
In Erzurum and surrounding areas, temperatures dropped to -32.6 degrees. These extreme cold conditions caused rivers to freeze and many places to develop icicles.

Lastly, in Amasya, temperatures dropped to -9 degrees, and farmers are spraying water on their trees to prevent damage from frost.
