Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had an important phone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This meeting covers critical topics in international relations.

During the conversation, they discussed the continuation of the ceasefire in Gaza and the steps that can be taken to ensure humanitarian aid reaches the region. Additionally, developments in Syria and Iran's nuclear program were also exchanged.

Minister Fidan emphasized the importance of lifting sanctions for the stability of Syria. They also exchanged views on the course of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

This meeting took place ahead of the NATO Informal Foreign Ministers' Meeting scheduled for May 14-15 in Antalya, where the two ministers are expected to meet again.
