The leader of the Renewed Welfare Party, Fatih Erbakan, responded to MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's remarks about İmralı, expressing confusion over the reactions from MHP. He questioned, 'If visiting İmralı is such a bad thing, why does Bahçeli keep saying it should be done?'

Highlighting the severe economic difficulties in Turkey, Erbakan emphasized the need for an alternative power to address justice and foreign policy issues. He stated, 'Economic difficulties are at a peak in Turkey.'

Erbakan also discussed the possibility of an electoral alliance with the Saadet Party, stating, 'There is still time until the elections, and conditions are changing rapidly.' He stressed the importance of both parties meeting more frequently.
