In Adana, the use of hail prevention devices has been banned! Farmers believe these devices prevent rain.

The Çukurova region is feeling the effects of climate change. The decrease in water resources is negatively affecting farmers. The Adana Governorship has banned the use of hail prevention devices. Mehmet Akın Doğan, President of the Yüreğir Agricultural Chamber, stated that complaints about these devices preventing rain have increased.

Doğan said, "There is no scientific explanation for these devices. However, they were banned because they create panic among farmers. Weather applications can detect weather conditions 30 minutes in advance," he said.

With this ban, the use of hail prevention devices has been completely halted in Adana. Inspections will be carried out by the teams of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.
