A snowstorm on Everest has led to 1000 people being stranded.

In the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, severe snowstorms on the eastern slopes are threatening the safety of hikers. Authorities have announced that rescue operations are ongoing, with 350 people rescued so far.

Rescue teams have mobilized to save those stranded due to heavy snow blocking access to camp areas. 137 hikers have been safely evacuated.

Hundreds of villagers and rescue teams have been dispatched to the area to facilitate access to the campgrounds. Officials have stated that rescue operations will continue as long as weather conditions permit.

Similar situations are occurring on the Nepal side as well. Severe rains have led to landslides and flash floods, resulting in 39 fatalities. This situation complicates rescue efforts in the region.
