Minister Yumaklı made statements regarding the forest fires in Tekirdağ. Intense efforts are being made to control the fires.

The fire is spreading rapidly due to hot weather, wind, and low humidity. AFAD has evacuated 1320 citizens and placed them in safe areas.

Minister Yumaklı stated that the unpredictability of the wind complicates the firefighting efforts. However, with the decrease in wind speed, efforts to control the fire are ongoing.

In firefighting efforts, 15 planes, 19 helicopters, and nearly 500 ground vehicles are being used. The Minister emphasized that this situation should not be politicized.

Minister Yumaklı urged citizens to heed official statements and not to believe in manipulative content. He noted that most fires are caused by human actions.
