CHP's Decision on Manavgat: Request for Expulsion of Three Members

The Republican People's Party has made a significant decision regarding the bribery incidents in Manavgat.
CHP Spokesperson Deniz Yücel announced in a MYK meeting that the main actors of the bribery scandal, Engin Tüter, Cengiz Coşar, and Hüseyin Cem Gül, have been referred for expulsion. Additionally, it was noted that 7 members of the municipal council have been detained.
Yücel stated, "For the integrity of the investigation, the memberships of our Mayor Niyazi Nefi Kara and former Mayor Şükrü Sözen have been suspended." These developments highlight the seriousness of the bribery allegations within the CHP.
The events in Manavgat once again demonstrate how complex the political climate in Turkey is. It remains to be seen how the CHP will manage this situation.
