Volcanic activity panic in Iceland! The Blue Lagoon area has been evacuated.

In Iceland, located in the North Atlantic, the 12th volcanic eruption since 2021 has occurred. The eruption fissure in southwestern Iceland is reported to be 700 to 1000 meters long.

Live footage shows lava flows and smoke clouds rising into the sky. The Blue Lagoon and surrounding areas have been evacuated.

Iceland, known as the 'land of ice and fire', is attracting significant tourism interest due to volcanic eruptions. Approximately 2.3 million foreign visitors are expected in 2024.

Authorities have warned that harmful gases from the eruption could reach the capital, Reykjavik. The public is advised to avoid outdoor activities and follow official warnings.
