A hail disaster struck Edirne! 10,000 decares of agricultural land are damaged.

On Friday evening, a hailstorm affected agricultural lands in the villages of Malkoç, Bayramlı, Başağıl, and Yeniköy in the Uzunköprü district. AK Party Edirne Deputy Fatma Aksal visited the damaged fields.

The Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Atilla Bayazıt, stated on social media, "The hailstorm affected approximately 10,000 decares of wheat and sunflower fields."

The importance of agricultural insurance was emphasized once again. It is crucial to expand systems that secure the labor of producers in this era of climate change and extreme weather events.
