The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that extreme heat will affect the country this weekend. Temperatures will be 6 to 12 degrees above seasonal norms, with Diyarbakır potentially reaching 46 degrees!

Hurricane and storm warnings have also been issued. Rain and thunderstorms are expected, especially in the northeastern regions. Caution is advised in Sakarya, Düzce, and Zonguldak.

With rising temperatures, it is advised that the elderly and children avoid being outdoors. Caution is advised between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Meteorology has indicated that temperatures will rise by 6 to 9 degrees in the coming days, with storm warnings issued in some regions. Special attention is needed in coastal areas due to the effects of the wind.
