A forest fire broke out in the İskenderun district of Hatay and was brought under control thanks to the quick response of the teams. The fire started in the Çankaya neighborhood for unknown reasons.

Upon notification, the Forest Regional Directorate and Metropolitan Municipality fire teams were dispatched to the area. The teams managed to control the flames before they spread to the surroundings.

After extinguishing the fire, cooling operations will be carried out in the area. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
