New Tunnel Project in Istanbul Reduces Travel Time

A revolutionary project in transportation! The Sarıyer-Kilyos Tunnel is set to reduce travel times in Istanbul.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu inspected the construction of the Sarıyer-Kilyos Tunnel Project. The project will have a total length of 8.2 kilometers and will reduce travel time from 35 minutes to just 5 minutes.

Minister UraloÄŸlu stated that the completion of the project will also boost summer tourism activities in the northern regions of Istanbul. Additionally, it will enhance quick access to the Northern Marmara Highway in emergencies.

The project is expected to save a total of 3.3 billion lira annually. Furthermore, it will reduce the carbon emissions of harmful vehicles by 32,000 tons.

This project will ease traffic in Istanbul while also speeding up access to business centers. UraloÄŸlu announced that the project is set to be completed by 2026.
