RTÜK's Warnings and Media Oversight Explained

The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has issued significant warnings to media organizations. Recently, some broadcasters have been found to share archive footage without proper disclosure and to publish news without citing sources.
RTÜK stated that if such violations continue, necessary sanctions will be applied. Additionally, a broadcasting ban was imposed regarding the DEAŞ operation in Yalova.

RTÜK also warned against fraud attempts. It was emphasized that the public should not trust fake calls made using the name of RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin.
Media organizations must rely on official sources for their broadcasts and ensure accurate information is provided to the public. It is crucial to exercise caution in such sensitive matters.
