Özgür Özel made important statements about Ekrem İmamoğlu's candidacy. He spoke about threats and precautions.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel responded to the question, "Are you receiving threats?" by saying, "I am, there are arrests. There is also a state protection order regarding us. But there are people who threaten my wife and daughter and are in custody. Threats are coming, and appropriate measures are being taken,".

Özel also spoke about Ekrem İmamoğlu's candidacy for the presidency. He stated, "Ekrem İmamoğlu is the candidate of the CHP. 15.5 million people have voted. The candidate of these 15.5 million people is Ekrem İmamoğlu,".

Özel emphasized that if İmamoğlu cannot be a candidate, they will look for the most suitable candidate, stating, "We will do whatever it takes to change this government."

Regarding the discussions on immunity, Özel stated, "They wouldn't dare. We feel we have a social immunity beyond constitutional immunity,"

Özgür Özel stated, "A trustee cannot be appointed. It's free to try. No one can manage the CHP who is not elected in the congress," emphasizing that they will maintain the party's resistance.
