Significant developments have occurred in the corruption investigation conducted by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The release of detained suspects has drawn considerable public attention.

In the asphalt tender investigation in Izmir, 20 detained suspects appeared before the court again. The court decided to release them pending trial.

The prosecution detained many suspects due to public harm caused by technical and physical surveillance. 20 individuals were arrested, and their trials will continue at the Izmir Heavy Penal Court.

The penalties requested in the corruption investigation against the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality have also been announced. Up to 14 years of imprisonment is being sought for 44 suspects.
