CHP's Sezgin Tanrıkulu made important statements regarding Turkey's European Union membership. He highlighted the issues concerning the rule of law and human rights that hinder Turkey's EU accession.

Following President Erdoğan's remarks on EU membership, Tanrıkulu emphasized that Turkey has not met the Copenhagen Criteria, which negatively impacts the EU membership negotiations.
