Retirees organized a protest against the electricity price hike by burning their bills. This action was aimed at raising awareness about their economic struggles and demands.

Gathering under the call of the All Retirees Union Eskişehir Branch, retirees marched to Zorlu Energy, demanding the cancellation of the electricity hike. CHP Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Talat Yalaz supported the march, emphasizing the need to fight for retirees' rights.

Union President Ali Paşa Şanlı stated, "The burden of the crisis is being placed on retirees. The Minister of Energy's claim of 'no hike' has proven false. The price hikes are making life harder for retirees," he said.

Şanlı emphasized that retirees' rights to live with dignity are being ignored and called for a fair distribution of income. He also insisted that the minimum pension should be raised above the poverty line.

After the protest, retirees burned their electricity bills, symbolizing their struggle for their rights. This action has become a powerful statement in their fight for justice.
