US President Donald Trump has announced secret operations against drug cartels in Venezuela. These operations are being conducted by the CIA, and Trump revealed this during a radio program.

According to CNN, the CIA conducted a drone strike on a port off the coast of Venezuela earlier this month. This marks the first known US attack on Venezuelan territory.

Trump stated that the target was a port used by the Tren de Aragua drug cartel. The attack did not result in any casualties as there was no one present at the site during the strike.

Trump announced that the CIA has been given the authority to remove Maduro from power and that these operations will continue. He also mentioned that Maduro is wanted for drug trafficking.

The Venezuelan government has labeled these US attacks as violations of international law, while the Trump administration defends these operations as necessary steps to prevent drug trafficking.
