US President Donald Trump has authorized secret operations against drug cartels in Venezuela. These operations are being carried out by the CIA, and Trump announced this during a radio program.

According to CNN, earlier this month, the CIA conducted a drone strike on a port on the coast of Venezuela. This is recorded as the first known US attack on Venezuelan territory.

Trump stated during his announcement, "We hit all the boats, and now we hit the area. We completely destroyed it. It no longer exists." These statements have caused a significant reaction in the international community.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro described these US attacks as a violation of international law and stated that his country would fully exercise its right to self-defense.

Trump argued that the operations in Venezuela are aimed at preventing drug trafficking, stating, "A lot of drugs are coming from Venezuela." This situation has further escalated tensions between the two countries.
